Memocept Formula
What is actually inside Memocept
Short and Honest
One Memocept capsule contains seven ingredients: 200 mg L-arginine base, 200 mg L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract, 100 mg L-citrulline HCL, 100 mg L-citrulline malate, 40 mg beta-alanine, 7.5 mg NE niacin and 18 mg calcium. The first four are nitric oxide precursors and account for the bulk of the formula. Nothing is hidden inside a proprietary blend, and there is no caffeine.

Pillar one: blood flow and oxygen delivery
The largest share of Memocept by weight is arginine and citrulline, and both are there for the same reason. Arginine is the direct substrate that the enzyme nitric oxide synthase uses to produce nitric oxide, the gas that tells the smooth muscle lining a blood vessel to relax [3]. When those vessels widen, blood moves through them with less resistance. The brain is roughly two percent of body weight and consumes something close to a fifth of the body's oxygen, so it is unusually sensitive to how well that delivery is working.
Arginine on its own has a practical problem. A good portion of an oral dose is broken down by the enzyme arginase in the gut and liver before it ever reaches circulation. Citrulline sidesteps that route: it is absorbed intact, travels to the kidneys and is converted there into arginine, which is why gram-for-gram citrulline often raises plasma arginine more reliably than arginine itself [4]. Pairing the two, as Memocept does, covers both the immediate and the slower-release path.
Memocept splits each amino acid across two forms. Arginine appears as 200 mg of free base and 200 mg of arginine AKG 2:1 extract, and citrulline appears as 100 mg of the HCL salt and 100 mg of citrulline malate. The malate and AKG portions bring in molecules from the citric acid cycle, the same pathway that turns nutrients into cellular energy. Be realistic about the scale here: these are moderate amounts designed for daily, long-term use, not the multi-gram single doses used in short athletic performance studies.
Pillar two: energy metabolism and nerve signalling
Niacin does the quiet work in Memocept. Vitamin B3 is the building block for NAD and NADP, two coenzymes that appear in hundreds of reactions, most importantly the ones that convert food into adenosine triphosphate. A normal niacin intake supports the nervous system, the digestive system and the skin, and a deficiency shows up first as fatigue and difficulty concentrating [1]. The 7.5 mg NE in a Memocept capsule covers 47 percent of the Daily Value, which tops up a normal diet without approaching the high-dose territory where niacin causes flushing or requires medical supervision [7].
Calcium is present at 18 mg, which is under two percent of the Daily Value. Nobody should buy Memocept as a calcium supplement. Its role here is functional rather than nutritional: calcium ions are the trigger that releases neurotransmitters at the synapse, and calcium carbonate also serves as a stable carrier in the capsule [2].
Pillar three: buffering and sustained effort
Beta-alanine is the smallest active in Memocept at 40 mg. In the body it joins with histidine to form carnosine, which sits inside muscle tissue and buffers the acidity that builds up during sustained effort. The research base for carnosine loading concerns exercise capacity in the one to four minute range, and it uses doses measured in grams per day over several weeks [5]. At 40 mg, treat beta-alanine in Memocept as a supporting ingredient in the blend rather than a reason to buy it.
Why we print every amount
A proprietary blend lets a brand list impressive ingredients while hiding how little of each is actually in the capsule. We decided against it. Every one of the seven actives in Memocept carries its own number, which means you can compare us with anything else on the market, look up each ingredient independently, and take the panel to a pharmacist if you want a second opinion. It also means we cannot quietly reformulate downwards, which is the honest reason most brands avoid full disclosure.
What Memocept does not claim
Memocept is a dietary supplement. It does not treat, prevent, cure or slow any disease, including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, attention disorders or any other diagnosed condition. It is not a substitute for sleep, exercise, a reasonable diet or prescribed medication. Any brand that tells you a capsule can do those things is telling you something the evidence does not support and the law does not allow [8]. What we claim is narrower and, we think, more useful: Memocept supplies well-studied nutrients and amino acids at disclosed amounts, in a form that is easy to take every day.
A short glossary
- Nitric oxide
- A short-lived gas the body makes from arginine. It signals the smooth muscle in blood vessel walls to relax, which widens the vessel and eases blood flow.
- Precursor
- A raw material the body converts into something else. Arginine and citrulline are nitric oxide precursors, not nitric oxide itself.
- AKG
- Alpha-ketoglutarate, a molecule from the citric acid cycle. Bound to arginine it forms arginine AKG, a common delivery form in supplements.
- NAD
- Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a coenzyme built from niacin that cells depend on to release energy from food.
- Carnosine
- A dipeptide made from beta-alanine and histidine that acts as a buffer inside muscle tissue.
- Daily Value
- The reference intake the FDA uses on nutrition labels. Where no Daily Value has been established, labels show a dagger instead of a percentage.
- cGMP
- Current Good Manufacturing Practice, the FDA quality framework that covers how a supplement facility documents, cleans, tests and records what it makes.
Formula questions
What are the ingredients in Memocept?
Memocept contains seven listed ingredients per capsule: niacin 7.5 mg NE, calcium 18 mg as calcium carbonate, L-arginine base 200 mg, L-arginine AKG 2:1 extract 200 mg, L-citrulline HCL 100 mg, L-citrulline malate 100 mg and beta-alanine 40 mg. The capsule shell is hypromellose, which makes it suitable for vegetarians. There are no proprietary blends and no undisclosed amounts.
Is Memocept safe?
At the labelled dose of one capsule a day, the ingredients in Memocept are commonly used and generally well tolerated in healthy adults. Niacin at 7.5 mg NE is a nutritional amount, far below the high doses associated with flushing. The amino acids are the sort you would find in a normal diet. That said, Memocept is not for anyone under 18, pregnant or nursing, and anybody taking prescription medication, especially blood pressure or erectile dysfunction medication, should speak to a doctor first because nitric oxide precursors can add to their effect.
Does Memocept have side effects?
The most commonly reported effects are mild: a brief warm flush from niacin in sensitive people, or stomach discomfort if the capsule is taken without food. Beta-alanine can cause a tingling sensation called paraesthesia, though it is unusual at 40 mg. Stop taking Memocept and speak to a clinician if you notice anything that concerns you.
Is Memocept FDA approved?
No, and no dietary supplement is. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they go on sale. What we can say is that Memocept is produced in a facility registered with the FDA and operating to current Good Manufacturing Practice standards, and that these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
